After 3 years of implementing a creative and retail extensive website, Makro is on its way to meeting and living up to global web and digital standards. The website was transferred to a new content management platform that showed improvement in the retailer’s ability to manage and promote their frequent campaigns, competitions and promotions through the site. The Makro website has recently undergone a visual and functional revamp that features promotional catalogues, wish lists, stock checking, product searches and comparisons, sharing via email and other social media platforms, as well as mobi technology.
 
Within these 3 years, the site boasts more than 50 000 visitors on a daily basis and is likely to increase since its latest revamp and online marketing strategies.
The site has certainly progressed to a channel where people are able to find better prices and better value and offers a convenient and informative online experience with increased customer interaction. The more visually appealing site is an exciting and better reflection of the brand. More importantly, it is evidence of truly understanding the customer.
